Before embarking on the journey to become a therapist, I, John, ventured into various clinical settings, embracing a multitude of roles. Each experience revealed to me the longing to engage with my clients in ways that my then role did not permit. This desire to help others navigate their mental health became my stepping stone towards becoming a therapist. In 2022, I earned a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the City College of New York and transitioned into supervised practice within a private setting.

My therapy approach is a synthesis of psychodynamic and experiential strategies, skillfully adapted from a variety of therapeutically beneficial modalities. I pride myself on my adaptability as a clinician, recognizing that every individual stepping into therapy comes with their unique set of strengths, perspectives, and aspirations. Your stories are important to me. I firmly believe in the inherent resilience of human beings, and I am convinced that we often possess more strength for overcoming our challenges than we realize.

My journey as a therapist has led me to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and clinical issues:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Loneliness
  • Intimacy & Relationship issues
  • Self Sabotage
  • Self-neglect
  • Sleep
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorders
  • ADD/ADHD and executive function issues.

And, I have a special affinity for serving the LGBTQ+ community.

Navigating the ebb and flow of life is an endeavor that we need not face alone. Together, we can delve into your unique narrative, uncover your latent strengths, and chart a course towards your life goals. Let's embark on this healing journey together.
