✓ Perhaps you're struggling with anxiety or depression.

✓ Perhaps you are struggling with substance use and miss use.

"I'd like to be more confident in the bedroom"

✓ Perhaps some sexuality issues; dysfunction, changes in libido and desire or something in relation to your own sexual self-expression.

"We don't communicate well."

✓ Maybe some are about relationship issues; having one, dealing with conflict or feeling disconnected, or other kinds of relationship struggles; affairs, betrayals, etc.

âś“ Or perhaps you are expanding your horizons with psychedelics and want to integrate those experiences.

Our Approach:

At Mind Body Dynamic Therapy, we believe change happens through experience, not just insight. Together, we explore what’s happening in the moment—your thoughts, emotions, and the sensations living in your body. As these layers come into awareness, long-standing patterns begin to shift, making room for deeper connection and authentic self-expression.

Our work draws from a family of experiential therapies—including Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) and others. Each helps people access, connect with and integrate the emotions that drive suffering and healing alike.

We are attachment- and trauma-informed, meaning we recognize that emotional pain often has roots in disrupted or overwhelming experiences. By working gently and precisely with both mind and body, we help the nervous system find safety, the heart regain trust, and the self come back into balance.

While every therapist in our group brings their own background and personality, we share a few guiding principles:

  • Experiential. Change happens through felt experience, not abstraction.

  • Relational. The therapy relationship itself becomes a space for healing and discovery.

  • Mind–Body Connected. Emotions are physical experiences that need to be felt, not fixed.

  • Integrative. We draw from experiential, parts-based, attachment, and trauma-informed perspectives to meet you where you are.

Our goal is to help you reconnect with your emotional truth, restore vitality, and live with greater ease, integrity, and presence.

How can psychotherapy help?

In order to answer that, I borrow a quote...

"The more one is able to laugh when one feels happy, cry when one feels sad, use anger to define specific limits, to make love passionately and to give and receive tenderness fully and openly, the more distant one travels from suffering. The more joy of living one feels, the easier it is to be generous and live with others" (1997) - Leigh McCullough-Vaillant, Ph.D.

This quote alludes to our interconnected, interdependent relational reality.  It also implies the importance of your capacity to really know and experience your emotions for they provide guidance, direction ,resilience, and creativity in your life.

So, if this quote speaks to you, than we may have a solid starting point.
